The itinerary

Your day on the water

This is how the day usually goes. It is your boat, so stay longer where you like or skip a stop.

1

Cast off from Marina Piccola

Meet the skipper around 9:30 and head out past Punta Campanella, with the island of Capri on your right.

2

Nerano and the Ieranto bay

First swim of the day in the protected bay under Punta Campanella, before the coast turns south.

3

Positano from the water

The pastel houses stacked up the cliff, seen the way postcards are taken. A photo stop, and a swim under the village if the sea is calm.

4

Li Galli and Praiano

Past the three islets of the sirens, then the fishing village of Praiano and the towers along the cliffs.

5

The Furore fjord

A narrow cut in the rock with a tiny beach at the bottom. The boat noses in for a look and a swim.

6

Amalfi

Lunch by the water or an hour in town: the cathedral steps are five minutes from the pier.

7

Back to Sorrento

The return run in the afternoon light, with the coast now on the other side.

Why Sorrento Boat Rental

Out of the port and straight into the good part of the day

Sorrento is the short way there
Capri, Positano and the Amalfi Coast are all a short run from Marina Piccola, so the day is spent swimming rather than travelling. Staying near Naples or Pompeii? Ask to leave from Castellammare di Stabia instead.
A boat sized for your group
A gozzo for up to 8, a Rio 35 for up to 12, and three more boats from 7 to 12 guests if you want more speed or more space. You pay for the boat that fits, never per person.
The quote is the bill
Skipper, fuel, drinks and gear are in the price. The only extras are lunch and the optional Capri landing and Blue Grotto tickets, and you know about them before you book.

Before you ask — departure, price, payment, weather

From Marina Piccola, the port of Sorrento. If you are staying on the Naples or Pompeii side, ask to leave from Castellammare di Stabia instead. The exact meeting point and a map come with your confirmation.
Yes. Both have a pier where the skipper can drop you for an hour or two. Tell us the day before if you want time ashore, so the route is planned around it.
Per boat. This route is €900 on the Mimì 850 gozzo (up to 8 guests) or €1500 on the Rio 35 (up to 12), whatever the size of your group. Three more boats from 7 to 12 guests are quoted on request.
No. You get a written quote first. Once date and boat are agreed, a €100 deposit holds the booking and the balance is paid on the day.
The skipper decides the evening before or early that morning. If the sea is not right, you move to another date or get a full refund.
Yes. The itinerary on this page is the usual day, but it is your boat: stay longer at a swim stop, skip a stop or add one, and tell the skipper what you want to see.
Skipper, fuel, water, soft drinks, beer and prosecco, snacks and fruit, snorkel masks, towels, shade awning and bathing ladder. Lunch, the Capri landing fee and the Blue Grotto ticket are the only extras.
All boats have a shade awning and a bathing ladder. The Mimì 850, Jeranto, Raffaelli and Itama have a marine toilet; for the Rio 35, ask us when you book.
Swimwear, sunscreen and a hat. Towels, masks, drinks and snacks are on board. In spring and autumn bring a light layer for the ride back.

Ask for your price — a minute of your time, nothing to pay

Send us the date and the group size. You get a written quote with availability; the €100 deposit only comes once you say yes.
